Haikara-san’s Ikkanbari Basket Bag
Even the oldest fabrics can take center stage.
This handcrafted piece is made using Ikkanbari—a traditional Japanese technique of layering washi paper over a bamboo basket and sealing it for strength and beauty.
To bring it to life, we collage vintage kimono fabrics and retro Japanese labels from the Showa era, creating a nostalgic yet pop-inspired world of “Haikara-san” (a modern girl with a retro flair).
Every piece of cloth and paper has lived a former life—now reborn to brighten your everyday with charm and character.
